THE LANO COMPANY INTRODUCES BRIDGETTE TATUM COLLECTION LIGHT UP LIP GLOSS
Bridgette TatumNASHVILLE — The Lano Company, which specializes in lanolin-based cosmetic products, has partnered with Root 49 Records country recording artist and hit songwriter Bridgette Tatum to release a limited edition and unique lip gloss aptly named Hillbilly Rockstar.

Tatum’s signature color, developed after a year’s careful process, is a soft mocha with ultra-shimmery color. It uses a revolutionary “travel mica” that shimmers between pink and brown depending on the lighting. Perhaps the most distinctive feature is the LED-lit applicator with mirror that reduces the need for carrying an additional compact or finding a lighted space in which to apply the gloss. Coupled with the unique formula combining the naturally therapeutic powers of medical-grade Lanolin, Jojoba, Sweet Almond Oil and Vitamin E, this product is truly a staple for any “rock star” on the go.
Hillbilly Rockstar - The Bridgette Tatum Collection by Lano Company“This is by far the best lip product I have ever used and the light up feature is the coolest and most practical thing ever,” saidTatum. “Whenever I use it while out and that light goes on, people immediately start asking me about it. I am excited to sing its praises while on the road for the upcoming She's Country Tour because it is a great product."

Having discovered the Light Up Lip Gloss seeing an interview that LanoCompany CEO Miranda Coggins did in Nashville in 2009, and relating toCoggins’ chronic chapped lip problem, Tatum began using the product religiously and found it the most effective product on the market.  Additionally, this product is practical for Tatum, who has a rigorous touring schedule and faces the challenges of changing climates on the road that wreak havoc on her lips. It is perfect for last minute back-stage application, and comes in handy when her lips dry out during her numerous songwriting sessions.
Coggins commented, “The Lano Company is excited to be partnering with Bridgette Tatum. She is such a talented artist and songwriter and we truly enjoyed her unique sound the minute we heard her music. Bridgette's love of our products and desire to keep our lip gloss ‘Made In the USA’ has resulted in a perfect combination of healing lip gloss and super fun color! We look forward to future releases from our Bridgette Tatum Collection.”

Hillbilly Rockstar retails for $20 and can be purchased
online or at one of the many outlets where The Lano Company’s products are sold.

In 2009, Tatum co-wrote the most played song on country radio stations across the United States. “She’ Country,” written with Danny Myrick and recorded and released by platinum-selling country superstar, Jason Aldean, held the No. 1 position on the country radio charts for two consecutive weeks. In 2010, Tatum’s song “Loud” was selected as the official theme song of the ACC Football Conferences’ 2010 season. This fast-paced anthem captured in a raucous music video resulted in exposure for Tatum in over 27 million households. Additionally in 2010, Tatum released her debut album, SEX, CHURCH & CHICKEN, on Root 49 Records. On November 2, 2011, Tatum embarks on the national She’s Country Tour, an all-female country genre tour, with recording artist Heidi Newfield (“Johnny & June”).

LOCASH COWBOYS AND ZAC BROWN BAND TEAM UP TO ROCK COUNTRY JAM USA
The duo defies the odds to perform at the popular festival in Eau Claire, Wisconsin Saturday night

NASHVILLE, TN -- It is not uncommon for problems to occur when bands are zig-zaggingacross the country to entertain their fans. TheLoCash Cowboys are no exception, as they discovered this weekend as they attempted to travel from the Berlin Raceway in Marne, MI to Country Jam USA in Eau Claire, WI, hurdling mechanical and logistical problems, as well as battling Mother Nature. But, thanks to a determined management team, Country Jam promoters, and Country Jam headliner, ZacBrown Band, fans were not disappointed in the end.

After their show on Friday evening in Michigan,Preston BrustChris Lucas, and their band exited the stage at 2:00am only to discover their bus would not start.  There were neither mechanics nor rental cars to be found and it wasn’t until 9:00am on Saturday morning that they finally got their bus rolling. Despite the odds, including the fact they had 500 miles to drive, Lucas stated, “Country Jam has always been great to us, and we were determined not to miss the show. We didn’t want to let our fans down.

The team attempted to find a charter plane to shorten their trip, calling all over Illinois and Michigan, until they finally found one in Madison, WI. – a two hour drive to Eau Claire. They arrived at the plane around 4:00pm, loaded it up, and the band took off for the 45-minute flight. A police escort was waiting with a van from the festival to take them to the grounds upon landing and they pulled up to the steps of the stage at exactly 4:59pm to perform. Thankfully, their tour manager had called ahead and arranged to borrow some equipment for the set, but as they walked up the steps to go on stage the stage manager shut down the main stage until approaching rain and thunderstorms passed.

In order to stay on schedule for the evening’s headliner, the Zac Brown Band, the announcer told the crowd that due to the rain delay,LoCash Cowboys would not be able to appear on the main stage. The crowd was clearly upset as their audible “boos” echoed throughout the grounds.  Upon hearing the boos, Zac Brown and his band started asking what the ruckus was about and once told, Brown asked the duo and their band if they wanted to stay and perform after his set. The decision was easy, especially considering all they had endured just to arrive at the show.  They went on stage, but during their performance of “Keep in Mind,” Brust’s piano was not working, apparently having gotten wet during the storm. Again, refusing to be deterred, the duo sang their last single acoustically. Once they finished the song they turned around and Brown was on stage with them.  The crowd went crazy and Chris and Preston thanked him profusely for allowing them to follow his set. Brown told the crowd he was happy to open for LoCash Cowboys.

“I made sure I personally thanked Zac when he came off stage that night. He was so genuine, cool, and sincere about giving us the opportunity to close the night on the main stage,” says Brust. “It was a historical night for LoCash, to perform in front of 30,000 fans under such conditions, and we can’t thank the Zac Brown Band and Country Jam enough for giving us such a great memory. It’s definitely going in our book some day!”

The duo has been serious road warriors these past six years, honing their craft and earning a reputation as being one of the most entertaining live shows in country music. They have been winning fans in droves along the way with their charisma and unrestrained performances and proved this past weekend that they will do whatever it takes never to miss a show.

While they have shared bills with artists including Charlie DanielsZZ Top, Toby Keith, Train, Blake Shelton, and Tom Petty, among others; performed at halftime of NBA and U.S. Olympic team basketball games; and performed on Fox News Network's New Year's Eve broadcast in front of two million people in Times Square, Lucas states, “We have worked with several artists and for the ZacBrown Band to help us out and let us close the show out shows how great and humble they are with their much-deserved success. I was always a fan of theirs, but now I put them at ‘Legend’ status. I wish them many more successes – what great guys!”

In May 2011, LoCash Cowboys made their prestigious Grand Ole Opry debut. On June 8, they were featured on an episode of Man v. Food Nation on the Travel Channel, which aired the week of the CMA Music Festival. Events they participated in included the Kickoff Parade, Country Weekly fashion show, Musicians on Call benefit at the Hard Rock Café, City of Hope charity softball game, and Chevrolet Riverfront stage performance! LoCash Cowboys’ last single, “Keep In Mind,” reached 35 on the Billboard Country chart.  Their previous single, “Here Comes Summer,” cracked the Top 40 at country radio, while the video peaked inside the Top 5 on the GAC and CMT Pure Country countdowns. Chris and Preston also wrote (with Jaren Johnson) “You’re Gonna Fly,” a song on Keith Urban’s current album, GET CLOSER.

Currently, LoCash Cowboys are busy promoting their current single, “You Got Me.” Written by Lucas and Brust with bandmate EricHalbig, this up-tempo, harmony-laced song is about that feeling one gets when falling in love. Produced by hit-maker Jeffrey Steele, “You Got Me” will appear on LoCash Cowboys’ forthcoming R&J Records debut album, THIS IS HOW WE DO IT.

LoCash Cowboys bring in C-O-U-N-T-R-Y

"C-O-U-N-T-R-Y" is the song that was jamming when the performers hit the stage. Guess what that spells? Rocket science isn’t needed, but it’s not more about the word itself, more like the lifestyle.

LoCash Cowboys came rolling into town for Saturday night’s headliner for the Roar on the Shore.  I know you might be saying to yourself, “They are not local, why did you cover them?”  Well, let’s face it, it’s a show that hundreds of people went to see for free, great stage, and they are nationally known.  It was more like, who WASN’T there on Saturday night?  But these Nashville fellas felt right at home playing for a crowd of bikers and bike enthusiasts.

Preston Brust and Chris Lucas are the LoCash Cowboys.  Hailing from Baltimore and Arkansas/Indiana, these two music duos got together in Nashville, TN. Can you think of a better place to start a band? The Music City is the staple for country musicians looking to hit it big, and the LoCash Cowboys are well on their way.

Besides playing for our Erie crowd, they have played on bills with Charlie Daniels and ZZ Top. They have also played at halftime of the NBA Finals as well as the US Olympic basketball team. But they don’t just perform, they write too.

They have written theme songs to “Tuckerville” and “Pageant School: Becoming Miss America”.  They have worked with Jeffery Steele (pretty big deal in country music song writing). The result of their skills is their debut album, “This Is How We Do It”.

Singing…check.  Writing…check. Playing…check.  What else can make the crowd go crazy? How about some high energy stage performing? Check!

To say these guys have fun when they are on stage is an understatement.  They play like a kid waking up on Christmas morning.  They even interact with the crowd asking questions and picking people in the crowd to get the camera on them.  At one point, they stopped singing and asked a question about, what else, trucks and motorcycles.

Hopefully the LoCash Cowboys come back around soon, because they were a great band to see.  Who knows, you may see them when they are the headliner at a bigger stage/event.  For a free show, people definitely got their money’s worth.

Be sure to read up on the cowboys and listen to their tracks on their website.  You can catch them on iTunes and don’t forget to see the entire photo gallery of the show by clicking here.

The Tootsies' 50th Anniversary Celebration VIP Package includes: a preferred seat to the Ryman show; access to all activities at Tootsies' throughout the day (beginning at 10 a.m.), including the pre- and after-show parties; a commemorative Tootsies 50th Anniversary shirt; complimentary hors d'oeuvres; artist meet and greets, and more.

The Ryman show will include a retrospective presentation paying tribute to Tootsies and the iconic woman it's named for, Hattie Louise "Tootsie" Bess, who died in 1978. The concert will be part of a network television special and documentary celebrating Tootsies (details to be announced), produced by Nashville-based Travis Television.

Tootsies' proprietor, Steve Smith commented, "Tootsies has become a country music institution and Kris Kristofferson is a part of its rich history. For Tootsies' 50th anniversary show, we are booking artists which most honor its past, present, and future."

Legend asserts that Tootsie allowed Kristofferson and Willie Nelson to reside upstairs from the bar when times got tough for them early in their careers. After struggling in Music City for several years, Kristofferson achieved remarkable success as a country songwriter at the start of the 1970s. His songs "Me and Bobby McGee," "Help Me Make It Through the Night," "Sunday Morning Coming Down," and "For the Good Times," all chart-topping hits, helped redefine country songwriting.  He won the Country Music Association's song of the year award in 1970 and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004.

After the Ryman show, Smith will host the official VIP after-party at Tootsies. VIP package ticket holders will walk the purple carpet those famous 37 steps from the stage door of the Ryman to the back door of Tootsies where, in the 50s and 60s, the greatest Opry stars like Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and Ernest Tubb would make that stroll to hang out, pick their guitars, and fraternize with the country fans who would pack Tootsies.

Today, Tootsies Orchid Lounge is a must-see Music City destination for tourists and is frequented by locals, including some of the biggest names in country music, who often drop in and surprise patrons with impromptu performances. In 2008, Tootsies opened another establishment at Pier Park, Panama City Beach.

$40 tickets for the Ryman show only will be available via TicketMaster or at the Ryman box office. For additional information, visit www.tootsies.net.

Colt Ford Meets Operation Redwing's Lone Survivor,
 Marcus Luttrell
NASHVILLE, TN (May 4, 2010) - Average Joes Entertainment recording artist Colt Ford stopped by Travis Television on Friday to meet Marcus Luttrell, a former United States Navy SEAL who received the Navy Cross for his actions in 2005 facing Taliban fighters during Operation Red Wing in Afghanistan.  Luttrell, author of the New York Times bestseller, Lone Survivor, is the new spokesperson for the "When They Come Back, We Give Back" media awareness campaign to support military foundations. Luttrell was in town to be interviewed by Travis Television producer, Greg Travis, who is producing promotional videos for the organization.

When Ford learned that Luttrell was a fan of his music and would be in Nashville, he wanted to personally thank him for his outstanding service to our country. Ford is already a supporter of the "When They Come Back, We Give Back"  campaign having posed in combat boots as a symbol to remind all Americans to support our military who have faced the harsh realities of combat, returning home with a new set of challenges.

Ford commented, "I thank America's armed forces at the end of each of my shows. We owe so much to those who put their lives on the line to protect the freedoms we have in this country. Meeting Marcus -- knowing all he went through during Operation Redwing -- was humbling, and the way he has bounced back to give back to others who need help is inspiring."
About Marcus Luttrell and Operation Redwing:
In the New York Times best-seller, Lone Survivor, Marcus Luttrell recounted the harrowing story of Operation Redwing and his SEAL team's fire fights in the desolate mountains of Afghanistan. During hours of attack, Luttrell's three teammates were killed. When an additional team of 8 Navy SEALs and 8 Army Special Operations forces were sent to rescue him by helicopter, they were shot down, leaving no survivors. He has since founded the Lone Survivor Foundation which supports the Lone Survivor Ranch in Central Texas and helps with the needs of returning warriors who have been wounded in battle.

About "When They Come Back, We Give Back":
The campaign was created this past Fall by five patriotic women from Texas, dubbed "The Boot Girls," to build awareness for military foundations by creating and circulating images of American celebrities in combat boots. Randy Houser, Heidi Newfield, Joe Nichols, Emily West, Chuck Wicks, Gretchen Wilson, and Derek Sholl, are among the other country artists who have posed in boots. Website: www.whentheycomeback.org.

Kenny Chesney and Steve Miller "Went Out Last Night"

March 3, 2010 -- Superstar Kenny Chesney surprised patrons at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge last night when he and rock icon, Steve Miller, gave an impromptu performance at the legendary Lower Broadway honky-tonk in Nashville. Insiders say that Chesney persuaded Miller to play at Tootsie's as it's extremely rare for the classic rocker to perform at bars. Word on the street spread fast as the always-bustling bar and live music venue quickly filled to capacity. Spirited fans sang along to every word of the Steve Miller Band classic hits including "Fly Like an Eagle," "Keep On Rockin' Me Baby," "Jet Airliner," and "Abracadabra," among others. Chesney then led the crowd in singing happy birthday to Tootsie's, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.

Earlier in the evening, Chesney and Miller shared the stage across the back alley from Tootsie's at the Ryman Auditorium for a live taping of the hit CMT series, CMT CROSSROADS. CMT CROSSROADS: THE STEVE MILLER BAND and KENNY CHESNEY will premiere later this year on CMT.

Editor-in-chief Jennifer Gruskoff commented, "We celebrate the differences and strengths of these families while honoring their similarity to all families. Our mission is to recognize the emerging and growing population of non-traditional families, however they choose to define themselves."

goodkin embodies an innovative, stylish and progressive culture, alive with relevant articles pertaining to a new generation of families. Gruskoff adds, "Original content forms the site's core, but we welcome the voices of our community to help us shape and represent the world of modern families the way they are living now - with style, open-mindedness, and an eye to the future."

Laura Crawford, executive creative director, offers, "goodkin is designed to create an open and inclusive environment. Families and communities look and feel differently than they did 50 years ago, and even 10 years ago.  goodkin celebrates and reflects this evolution. The world is changing...and family is too."
